replacement fish

Back to real life: I got a replacement fish for the one I killed last week. He's a beta fish, just like the other one- blue and purple and his tail fin is very spikey. His name is Batman. Batman doesn't fall down drains in kitchen sinks, so I thought the name was appropriate.

I also got a companion for Sampson the goldfish, since he's seemed lonely and bored ever since Pumpernickel died of disease a couple months ago. Her name is Victoria. She is orange and white and looks very feminine as the orange spots look like she has lipstick and eyeshadow. VERY Breakfast at Tiffany's.

They're buddies already, Victoria follows Sampson around the tank, and she seems healthy- gobbles up the fish food every time I open the lid and drop those fish smelling flakes into the water. Hopefully she'll get big soon and Sampson and Victoria can have little speckled baby fish.
